Last week Gavin had his first field trip to the fire station! He thought it was really great! We had a discussion about how firefighters are even cooler than super heroes because they are real life heroes! He liked their little Sesame Street presentation and loved being able to check out the engine!
The firefighter that was talking to our class let the kids try on some of the gear. They all looked adorable in their over-sized attire. Then the firefighters took the kids out and showed them their engines and the different equipment available on board. The kids had a chance to climb aboard the engine and sit in the seats and ask questions. They had a great time! Many thanks to Heather and Denise for the fun things they plan for the kids and to the fire department.
